Abrasion resistance and pilling is an important evaluation index of textile quality,and its quality will directly affect the service life of textiles.After the textile enterprise completes the design of the fabric,it is often necessary to weave the sample fabric to evaluate the abrasion resistance and pilling performance of the fabric.This process is time-consuming and labor-consuming,and requires repeated weaving and modification of relevant design parameters to achieve Expected quality requirements.Therefore,in today's ever-accelerating pace of life,the estimation of the wear resistance of fabrics can effectively increase the production efficiency of textile companies and bring greater business opportunities to textile companies.This project has for the first time developed a tester capable of predicting the abrasion resistance and pilling of fabrics by testing the yarn properties.The instrument can evenly wind the yarn around the cylindrical test platform according to the set arrangement density,and by setting different parameters,the friction member can perform friction test on the yarn with different motion trajectories.In this paper,a control system based on PLC touch screen is designed to achieve an accuracy of±1r/min,in the arrangement of the yarns,an accuracy of±1r/min in the rotation speed of the winding drum,and an accuracy of±1~o in the amplitude.With an accuracy of±0.1Hz in the frequence,the precision of the friction member's movement speed reaches±1mm/s,and the accuracy of the movement amplitude reaches±1mm.The traditional Zweigle G552 yarn wear tester and Martindale fabric wear resistance were analyzed using ring-spun cotton yarns spun from the same batch of cotton and fabrics with corresponding yarn samples as warp and weft yarns.During the test,the wear and tear mechanism of the yarn or fabric was analyzed;the yarn wear resistance and fabric abrasion resistance were studied by analyzing the data obtained from the traditional yarn wear tester,fabric wear tester,and fabric pilling tester.Influencing factors,and the relationship between yarn properties and fabric abrasion resistance,fabric pilling.The results show that the wear resistance of the yarn is mainly determined by the basic characteristic parameters of the yarn.The basic characteristic parameters of the yarn are independent variables,and the multivariate regression equation is constructed by using the number of wear times of the yarn as the dependent variable.The correlation coefficient is as high as 0.997.At the same time,it was found that the abrasion resistance of yarn combined with the warp and weft density of the fabric can be used to accurately estimate the wear resistance of the fabric.The correlation coefficient between the prediction result and the actual fabric abrasion resistance test result is as high as 0.994.Theoretically,the feasibility of predicting the abrasion resistance and pilling of fabrics through performance testing of yarns was verified.Comparing the prediction results of the predictive yarn wear tester with the test results of traditional instruments,it can be seen that the yarn wear resistance and the predicted fabric abrasion resistance and the traditional yarn resistance obtained from the predicted yarn wear tester and the wear resistance of the mill and fabric abrasion tester is basically the same.The predictive yarn wear tester has a significant effect on the pilling test of the yarn,which can produce uniformly distributed pellets on the tested yarn surface,and the number of pellets is not equal.Therefore,it can be seen that the predictive yarn abrasion tester can not only test the abrasion resistance of the yarn,but also predict the abrasion resistance of the fabric accurately.The predictive yarn wear tester has a significant effect on the pilling test of the yarn,so that it can predict the pilling of the fabric to some extent.
