In recent years,China's steel pipe production has increased rapidly,and has developed into the largest steel pipe producer,the largest consumer of steel pipe and the largest net exporter of steel pipe in the world,and has become a truly great steel tube country.In 2015,China's steel pipe production accounted for 58.5% of the world's total steel pipe output.But with the rapid development of China's steel tube industry,there is a serious lack of overall planning,blind development and low-level duplication of construction.There is a considerable gap between Chinese steel tube industry and foreign companies in terms of variety,quality,cost,service and efficiency.To cope with the pressure,China's steel tube enterprises should take the initiative to adapt to the "new normal",pay attention to structural adjustment and transformation and upgrading of enterprises,and take the road of innovation driven and quality oriented development.With the rapid development of China's economy,the demand for oil and natural gas is increasing,and the oil and gas pipeline industry is facing an extremely fierce market competition.XYD has certain brand influence in the field of oil and gas transmission pipeline manufacturing,but facing the current complex industry environment,formulating the most suitable competition strategy and maintaining competitiveness in the industry is the top priority for XYD company.Based on the premise of the research on strategic management theory and the oil and gas pipeline industry related literatures,the use of PEST,Five Forces Model and EFE matrix and IFE matrix and other analysis tools of XYD company's external environment and internal environment analysis,the company's external opportunities and threats and the internal strengths and weaknesses,and then through the QSPM matrix,we choose the total cost leadership strategy for XYD company from three competitive strategies.Finally in order to ensure the strategy can achieve better application effect,put forward a corresponding strategy implementation safeguard measures.
