The Analysis Of Influencing Factors On Cotton Micronaire Value And Relationship Between Spinnability And Micronaire

Xinjiang,as the largest cotton production base in China,Xinjiang cotton has always been in an irreplaceable position in the international cotton market with its outstanding quality.However,with the development of hybridization and genetic engineeringtechnology in cotton,people don't stop exploring and trying to develop new cotton varieties.As a result,a large number of new varieties of cotton have emerged in recent years.At the same time,with the development of varieties diversity as well as the promotion of mechanized cotton-harvest technology,some problems were emerged,such as messy management of varieties and the evaluation criteria of quality,poor quality consistency,the quality ofmechanical picked cotton is better than hand picked cotton's etc,whichconstrainedthe development of cotton industry in Xinjiang.In the context,this paper focuses on the analysis of micronairewhich is one of quality indicators.The micronaire is a comprehensive reflection of the fineness and maturity.It can explain the relationship between cotton and spinning process?product quality;it has played a important role in the cotton trade,has become an indispensable indicator in cotton fiber testing.However,the evaluation mechanism of micronaire is facing many problems,such as test methods of micronaire?grading and assessment methods of micronaire?the deviation among micronaire value?maturity and fineness,the depth of researching onFactors influence micronaire was shallow,the effect of micronaire on the spinnability of cotton changed and so on.So,in order to improve effectively the evaluation systemof micronaire,this article are as follows:(1)By macroscopically analyzing the relationship between cotton micronaire value and climatic factors in Xinjiang,the main reason forthe trend of cotton micronaire changed in Xinjiang in recent years was analyzed by referring to historical data and principal component analysis.The results showed that:the micronaire value of Xinjiang cotton increased in the past ten years,the percentage of A grade of micronaire value(3.7-4.2)significantly reduced,and the proportion of C2 grade(?5.0)significantly increased;During cotton growth period,the climatic factors were one of the reasons for the abnormal change of micronaire in recent years.The impact of climatic factors on cotton growth is related to different localities,and the sunshine hours is directly proportional to the change of the percentage of good quality micronaire(3.7~4.2).the relationship between comprehensive principal component and the propotion of grades of micronaire value was analyzed by regression analysis,which acquired a well fitted regression equation.(2)According to the principle of air flow meter,with the classical equations of cotton maturity,fineness and micronaire,this article explored the factors that affect the micronaire value of cotton.By comparing cotton micronaire measured value and the calculated value with different varieties and different picking methods of cotton.The result showed that the variety is the main reason for deviation of micronaire value.Different varieties and picking methods of Xinjiang cotton will result in changes in the relationship among micronaire value ?maturity and fineness.(3)Different surface morphology of fibereffectedon the micronaire of cotton was studied by treating the surface of the fiber with plasma.The results showed that the roughness of the fiber surface and the surface material affected the test value of micronaire.It was verified that the calculated value of micronaire can not reflect the actual value of micronaire.(4)With different varieties and picking methods of cotton,the effect of test value and measured value of cotton micronaire on yarn quality was compared,the measured value of micronaire related with maturity and finenesscan explaincotton's spinnability.At the same time,SFI and other quality indicators also have an important impact on quality of yarn.The multivariate linear regression equation that replaced the micronaire value with maturity and fineness could better characterize the spinnability of a certain variety of cotton.In recent years,the development trend of micronaire in Xinjiang had been not optimistic,Micronaire values are influenced by the climate factors as well as varieties and picking methods,different cotton varieties in Xinjiang is the main reason that causes the relationship among micronaire value?maturity and fineness,The reason for this difference may be related to the surface morphology of the fiber and the surface material.The experimentalshows that the evaluation of the spinnability of the yarn is more effective by maturity and fineness than micronaire test...
