The main purpose of this paper is preparing and studying the rubber material of oil swelling packer and water swelling packer.The prototypes of the two packers have been prepared and the performances of the packers have been tested.For oil swelling rubber,the study shows that the better vulcanizing agent is peroxide DCP.The better assistant crosslink agent is TMPT and the best ratio of the curing agent and assistant vulcanizing agent is 4:1.The anti-aging agent RD+MB had the better effect on the delayed oil swelling rubber which has peroxide vulcanization in high temperature aging for a long time.Carbon black N330 can improve the comprehensive mechanics performance of the rubber.The peculiar packer structure has been designed and this structure has been tested and simulated,it can meet the requirements of filed use.The trial production of a prototype and simulation test has been carried to delayed oil swelling packer.The text result shows that the packer was able to hold 5500 PSI under the temperature of92?~95?,after12 days in the white oil media.For water swelling packer,the effect of Water absorption expansion agent on the physical and mechanical properties of rubber has been studied.The study shows that with the increase of water absorption expansive agent,water swelling rubber hardness is on the rise before and after it absorbed water.The tensile elongation was decreased,and after water absorption rubber tensile elongation rate was less than the rate of change of the water before.The tear strength was induced and the water absorption capability of the water swelling rubber was increased gradually with the increase of water absorption expansive agent.The mini water swelling packer has been trail-produced and the text tools have been designed for texting the absorbing capacity of the water swelling packer.Thewater absorption capacity of expansion packer has been explored in the different conditions.The study found that with the increase of concentration of brine,the water absorbing capacity of rubber was reduced.The mathematical model has been established to meet the change rule of water swelling rubber barrel and the mathematical analysis is carried out for the impact factor.It was able to simulate the changes of the rubber sleeve outside diameter with time in different well conditions.
