Crude oil is flammable, explosive, corrosive, toxic, etc. In the production, transportation, storage, use and other aspects,a little carelessness perhaps leads to a major accident, causes serious personal injury and loss of property.Oil tank areas are dangerous and complex,so qualitative analysis method, quantitative calculation method and consequence simulation are all used to analysis risks in this paper. These methods include bow-tie model analysis,multi-level fuzzy comprehensive analysis method and SAFETI software, and they were used to evaluate major hazard sources in oil tank areas.First of all, identifying various risk factors in oil tank areas, applying bow-tie model analysis to establish oil tank leakage bow-tie model, crude oil pipeline leakage bow-tie model, falling bow-tie model, mechanical injury bow-tie model, traffic accident bow-tie model and electrical accident bow-tie model, proposing prevention measures to reduce the occurrence of various hidden dangers;Secondly, according to potential risk factors in oil tank areas, expert scoring method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are used to calculate risk and obtain risk ranking results, determining the safety grade of the crude oil tank area, pointing out key protection areas; Then, for the pool fire risk, using SAFETI software to simulate the accident scenarios of tank pool fire and calculate the damaged areas and influence regulations of tank pool fire accidents; Finally, for all kinds of hidden dangers existing in the oil tank areas, according to the risk ranking results and the pool fire consequence simulation results, combining with practical operation of oil tanks to get the risk treatment plans.
