In this study,PA6 polymerization process with addition of a certain amount of SEED,in order to improve the thermo-oxidative stability of PA6,reinforce PA6 stability during melt processing of PA6 and be very beneficial for high-speed spinning.Paper prepared with different SEED levels of modified PA6.The main research are modified rheology,thermal stability,thermal oxidation stability,mechanical properties and structure of modified polyamide 6.Experiments showed that:with addition of SEED,PA6 initial thermal decomposition temperature higher than when not added 2-10 ?,improved thermal stability of the polymer.With increasing content of SEED,PA6 melt viscosity declined gradually,and more importantly,there is shear thinning critical shear rate increased significantly and phase angle increased too.Showed that with addition of SEED P A6 melt fluidity and transport stability has been improved,helping improve the PA6 melt processing stability and controllability.After the thermal oxidation,the molecular weight and the end amino group content of the polyamide 6 remains stable with addition of SEED.SEED in the form of hydrogen associates with polyamide 6 molecules amide group,resulting it dissolved in polyamide 6.In addition,the mechanical properties of polyamide 6 material is slightly lower,and the content of SEED should not exceed 2%,but durability and high-temperature durability of material improved.
