Research On Integrity Management Of Long Distance Oil Pipeline In Service

Since the reform and opening up,China's national economy has developed rapidly.With the increasing demand for refined oil products,the mileage of oil pipeline construction in China has increased rapidly.Although long distance pipeline has many advantages,such as large amount of transportation,long distance,continuity and so on,once a leak occurs and causes fire accident,the casualties and economic losses will be huge.Pipeline integrity management refers to the identification and evaluation of the adverse influence factors of oil and gas pipelines by means of technical skills such as monitoring,testing,inspection and other technical means to obtain integrity information of pipeline body corrosion,pipeline ancillary facilities,emergency resources,etc.By carrying out necessary maintenance or taking certain risk prevention measures,the influence of unfavorable factors on pipeline can be reduced or eliminated so that pipeline risk can be controlled within an acceptable range,and finally the goal of preventing pipeline safety accidents can be achieved.Firstly,the background of implementing pipeline integrity management in China and the present situation of pipeline integrity management at home and abroad are introduced.Secondly,the theoretical knowledge and related requirements of pipeline integrity management are discussed.Thirdly,on the basis of the theory of pipeline integrity management,the construction and application practice of Sinopec Southwest Product Oil Pipeline Integrity Management(taking Yunnan Section as an example)will be studied in this paper.Sinopec Southwest Oil Product Pipeline was completed in December 2005,starting from Maoming City,Guangdong Province,to Dali,Yunnan Province,with a total length of about 1600 km.The pipeline is one of the key basic projects in the development of western China.It has solved the long-standing problem of transportation of oil products in Southwest China and has promoted the economic development of Southwest China.The southwest oil product pipeline became one of the pilot units of pipeline integrity management in March 2015.Up to now,some achievements have been made in pipeline integrity management in the southwest oil product pipeline system.Because Southwest Oil Pipeline is long,after the construction of pipeline integrity management system of Southwest Oil Product Pipeline has been introduced in this paper,the concrete application practice of pipeline integrity management in Yunnan province is exemplified to be analyzed to put forward a series of improvement measures aiming at the unfavorable influence factors identified by the pipelines integrity management and the inadequate response measures.Base on the analysis,the shortage of the application integrity management process in Southwest Oil Product Pipeline is detected,and the measures to improve the system are put forward for the future.Finally,on the basis of case study,a comprehensive integrity management system of long distance oil pipeline is constructed in combination with relevant national norms,in order to provide a reference basis for the pipeline industry to promote pipeline integrity management.
