The rapid development of Internet and communication technology has brought tremendous changes to the way people work and live.In a larger,faster,more secure,more convenient enterprise information system(such as ERP)that integrates production and management technologies,enjoying high-quality intelligent service anywhere and at low cost has become people's necessary requirement.From twentieth Century since 90,the domestic advanced iron and steel industry began to build enterprise information management system to reduce the cost,improve the efficiency of enterprises.To enter in twenty-first Century,the information management system has become the indispensable pillar daily operation of large iron and steel enterprises.At present,most of the iron and steel enterprises in China realize the informatization of enterprises,such as Baosteel,Capital Steel Group and Wuhan Iron and Steel Company,which are kind of large enterprises.However,for small and medium-sized iron and steel enterprises,although the information demand is very comprehensive,but the size of the system and the implementation process is not the same,because small businesses are very sensitive to time,cost,effect.Therefore,in their information construction,more rapid and flexible deployment system platform,closer to the actual enterprise management and gradually improve the management level is more important.Therefore,how to according to its own characteristics to give planning information system suitable for this kind of enterprise development and may increase efficiency of management,and improve market competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises,corresponding to become a subject of study.This paper emphasizes on how to seek some appropriate project schedule and progress control solutions to meet their needs and improve services by means of information.
