Impact Of Industrial Clusters On Environment Of The Yangtze River Economic Zone

The provinces along the Yangtze River had developed rapidly since the implementation of the Yangtze River economic zone.At the same time,the ecological condition of this zone has deteriorated gradually and the ecological system has been strongly disturbed,which has seriously hindered the sustainable development of the Yangtze River Economic zone.In this study,the ecological status of the Yangtze River Economic Zone was evaluated using the remote sensing and GIS technology.The results and conclusions are as follows:(1)During the year 2000 to 2010,the changing rate of the ecosystem in the Yangtze river economic zone is increasing.The area of forest and grassland ecosystem increased in 2000-2005 and then decreased in 2005-2010 with the overall trend towards increased slightly.The area of shrub land and wetland ecosystem also showed a trend that increased firstly and then decreased,and the overall trend was decreasing.The area of farmland ecosystem had a rapid decline and the urban ecosystem area was growing rapidly.The ecological condition improved in the east part and deteriorate in the west part of the Yangtze river economic zone.(2)There are 2304 points of industrial activities in the main coastline from shanghai to Yibin,increasing from upstream to downstream,and the new industrial activities points since 2010 accounted for 39.19%of all.The shoreline utilize intensity of more than 50%industrial activities points is 17.44%,and the most powerful utilize area along the Yangtze river is the section of Jiangsu province.Among the different industrial types,the sand mining activity is the most active in the coastline,which accounted for 41.75%of the total activities.The other types of industrial activities have an increasing trend from upstream to downstream.(3)Comparing Nanjing cluster,Wuhan cluster with Chongqing cluster,the research found that the green development of Chongqing industrial cluster is better than the other two clusters,and the green development of Nanjing industrial cluster was in the worst situation.There was a trend that vegetation was decreasing and the industrial construction area was increasing in all the three industrial clusters.in addition,the green development levels of industrial clusters was also related with the local environment.
