Demand Prediction Of Lithium Resource And Lithium Product Analysis In China

Lithium ore resources are China's emerging industrial resources and strategic resources.They have been widely used in various industries.The four major using scope of China's lithium resources are Lithium battery industry,glass ceramic industry,grease industry and air treatment industry.In 2017,China's consumption of lithium carbonate reached 124,700 tons,accounting for 52.48% of global consumption,and has become the world's largest consumer of lithium carbonate.However,China's lithium mine resources supplying capacity is poor,so the dependence on foreign countries is relatively high.The analysis of the future demand for lithium resources in China has important practical significance: First,provide basic data and reference for China's future demand for lithium resources;Secondly,provide theoretical support for the sustainable development of China's lithium mining industry;Finally,it provides reference for China's lithium mine resource geological survey,utilization planning,formulation and implementation of new energy policy,and mining administration.Based on the analysis of the status of lithium resources,the status quo of supply and demand,and the trade pattern,this paper analyzes the consumption patterns of lithium resources in China.According to the development of lithium industry,it predicts the demand of lithium resources before 2030 in China.The supply capacity of lithium resources in the future has been analyzed and predicted,and the following results have been obtained:(1)The main four consumer industries of China's lithium mine resources are lithium battery industry,glass and ceramics industry,lithium grease industry and air treatment industry.In 2017,the proportion of each industry was 42%?31%?4%? 3%.(2)The consumption forecast of the four major lithium mine resource consumption industries are respectively 185,300 tons in 2020,314,200 tons in 2025 and 493,200 tons in 2030 in China.(3)Through the analysis of the production capacity of major lithium mines in China,it is concluded that the supply of lithium resources in China in 2020,2025 and 2030 will be 147,100 tons,254,300 tons and 395,200 tons respectively.(4)By comparing the demand and supply of lithium mines in the future,it is concluded that the gaps in lithium resources in 2020,2025 and 2030 are 38,200 tons,600,000 tons and 98,000 tons respectively.(5)Suggestions on the contradiction between supply and demand of lithium resources in the future: increase investment to research on lithium extraction from brine;find alternatives;implement global mineral resources strategy,develop overseas markets;Accelerate research on battery performance improvement and establish a recycling system for used batteries.
