With the development of social economy,the increase of population and the progress of urbanization,water resources are increasingly becoming the bottleneck factors restrictin g the sustainable development of human society.Especially for cities with rich and comple x water areas,the water environment faces more severe challenges.Thus,an integrated gov ernance program is particularly important.The State Council's approval of Wuhan's master plan states that Wuhan,as a riverside and lakeside city,which shoud pay particular attentio n to the governance and protection of the water environment,so that the quality of the urba n environment can be comprehensively improved and the virtuous cycle of the ecosystem will be realized.Therefore,it is imperative to explore a set of governance schemes that can be used for reference and promotion and that can adapt to complex water environments.Taking Hannan waters as an example,this paper selected 2 rivers(Tongshun River and Maying River),26 key lakes,and 15 main drainage channels in the region.The water quality was sampled and analyzed using national standard and single factor evaluation methods.We conducted field surveys of pollution sources in various waters and explored effective methods and approaches for managing a complex water environment.We also solved the problem of water environment in the region and coordinated development of the integrated environment and regional economy.The research content of this paper mainly includes three aspects.(1)The "Water Quality Standards for Surface Water"(GB3838-2002),"Surface Water Environmental Quality Assessment Methods" and "Surface Water Resources Quality Standards"(SL63-94)were used as evaluation criteria to investigate the water resources status in Hannan District of Wuhan City statistics.Next,we conducted a comprehensive analysis and assessment of the collected water using the single-factor evaluation,comprehensive pollution index evaluation,and comprehensive evaluation of the nutritional status index.Based on this,the characteristics of water environment and water pollution in Hannan District and the trend of water quality change were found out.(2)This paper was mainly based on collecting data and field surveys,supplemented by sampling and monitoring.We identified the main pollution of water resources and sorted out the main problems faced by the water environment through the investigation of industrial pollution sources,town life pollution sources,village life pollution sources,livestock and aquaculture pollution sources and non-point source pollution sources.(3)On the basis of a large amount of survey data,we carried out the exploration of the water environment remediation program based on the investigation results of the water quality survey and the sources of water pollution.For a variety of water environment analysis,we studied targeted remediation planning methods,and put forward a " stepwise comprehensive governance program" of "source control ? end-of-pipe treatment ? comprehensive rehabilitation of water bodies".In the study,we proposed a stepwise comprehensive governance idea of “source control ? end-of-pipe treatment ? comprehensive rehabilitation of water bodies” to lay a solid foundation for building an ecologically sound Wuhan New District.It is also of positive significance for promoting sustainable restoration of polluted urban waters and social and economic development.
