Cotton is an important strategic reserve material of the country.With the gradual deepening of supply-side structural reform,cotton,as an important agricultural product,has become the first pilot reform,replacing temporary storage with target prices.Since 2015,large-scale rotation of cotton reserves has continued for three consecutive years,Continuous digestion of high inventory risk,and the quantity of cotton storage has decreased sharply.At the same time,the aggregation of human flow,vehicle flow and operation volume has increased,and the safety risk of cotton operations has increased significantly,which is very vulnerable to fire.Cotton itself has the characteristics of flammability,spontaneous combustion and smoldering combustion.The fire hazard of cotton warehouse is MD warehouse,which is listed as the key fire prevention unit of fire safety in all parts of China.Through the analysis and study of 20 large-scale cotton fire accidents in China from 2000 to 2017 from the four aspects of fire burning mechanism,fire evolution process,cotton self-burning characteristics and cotton storage fire characteristics,it is considered that cotton fire is greatly affected by external temperature and humidity,especially in summer,cotton open-air environment storage is extremely dangerous to fire.The study of open storage fire is of great significance.In this paper,PyroSim fire simulation software is used to simulate cotton open-air storage fire.The process of cotton stack fire spreading and burning under different wind speeds and the radiation effect of fire stacking on other stacks under different fire spacing are analyzed.According to the calculation results,the flame in the field,the spread of flue gas,the temperature field of the downstream stacking,the temperature field of the open-air warehouse as a whole and the heat release rate curves under different wind speeds are analyzed.By setting the variable conditions of fire spacing and wind speed,it is concluded that the variables have a great influence on the spread of fire flame and smoke.Combining with actual fire cases,field investigation data are compared to verify the simulation numerical content,which proves the feasibility,pertinence and accuracy of this study.Finally,the paper puts forward pertinent suggestions on cotton storage enterprise safety production management,cotton fire accident prevention,cotton fire accident rescue and other aspects,in order to maximize the protection of human life safety and reduce property losses.Cotton is an important strategic reserve material of the country.With the gradual deepening of supply-side structural reform,cotton as an important agricultural product has become the first pilot,replacing temporary storage with target prices.Since 2015,the reserve cotton has been rotated on a large scale for three consecutive years,continuously digesting the high-risk risk risk of inventory,and the quantity of cotton storage has decreased sharply.At the same time,it has brought about the agglomeration of human flow,vehicle flow and operation volume,and the safety risk of cotton operation has increased significantly,which is very easy to have fires.
