Nickel-based superalloys have excellent mechanical properties.They are widely used in aerospace,shipbuilding,nuclear energy and other fields.Ultra-high speed grinding can improve the machinability of nickel-based superalloys,which is the future development trend.At present,the research is still in its infancy.CFRP grinding wheels with low density and high specific strength and modulus can meet the high requirement of grinding wheel in ultra-high speed grinding.However,the current CFRP grinding wheel does not fully exert the excellent properties of CFRP.Therefore,the CFRP grinding wheel was designed by finite element analysis to improve its machining performance.The liquid-air flow field of high pressure jet cooling in ultra-high speed grinding was analyzed in order to learn about the laws of effective flow rate in contact region.Based on the above research,the experiment of ultra-high speed grinding was carried out to analyze the influence of grinding speed on the processing performance of superalloy,and to provide reference for the follow-up supersonic grinding.The main works are as follows:(1)The grinding wheel was modeled using ABAQUS finite element software and its mechanical properties were analyzed.The mechanical properties of grinding wheels with different material layouts and different matrix materials were compared..Different design schemes of grinding wheel were proposed for different targets.(2)The finite element analysis of the flow field in ultra-high speed grinding was carried out using Fluent software.The effects of different nozzle positions,coolant jet velocity and grinding wheel speed on the effective flow rate in the connect region were studied.Based on the analysis results,some suggestions for improving the cooling system of ultra-high speed grinding were put forward.(3)Ultra-high speed grinding experiments of superalloy GH4169 were carried out.The temperature and grinding force in the experiments were analyzed.The influence rule of improving grinding speed on material processing performance was revealed.The advantages of ultra-high speed grinding GH4169 were demonstrated.
