The self-lubricating spherical plain bearing are widely used in aerospace because of their non-lubrication,high load-carrying capacity and compact structure..In this paper,the assembly process and assembly quality inspection of ring grooved spherical plain bearings are studiedABAQUS software is used to establish the assembly model of the bearing to simulate the assembly process dynamically.The press-fit process and the flange-fixing process of the bearing assembly are simulated and analyzed to obtain the stress,strain and radial displacement distribution of the components at different positions,also the curves of pressing force and flanging force with displacement are obtained.The influence of the interference,friction coefficient and material on the pressing force and the flange force are analyzed.The simulation of the pull out process of the assembled bearing is carried out to obtain the stress,plastic strain and radial displacement distribution at different positions,and the curve of the pull-out force.The influence of the shape error of the bearing base hole on the bearing assembly process is studied,and the displacement of the lining material during the assembly of the self-lubricating bearing is analyzed.The assembly process test of the spherical plain bearing is carried out to obtain the press-fit force and the flanging force curve under different interferences.The press-fit process is simulated to compare the actual press-fit force with the simulation.The starting torque is measured on the assembled bearing,and the bearing pull-out test is performed to obtain the pull-out force.The topography of the outer surface of the bearing outer before and after the assembly is measured by the topography instrument.The measurement method of the shape of the bearing flange is studied,and the profile of the self-lubricating spherical plain bearing assembled is subjected to CT scanning.The bearing pull-out test is performed to obtain the pull-out force.The finite element assembly model is built by the profile of the bearing that is cut to simulate the pull-out process,and the pull-out force is compared with the experimentally obtained.
