Research On Design Of Puzzle Toys For Elderly People Based On Multiple Intelligences

At present,the domestic toy market mainly concentrates on the development of children’s intelligence,and there are few puzzle toy designs for the elderly.Based on the design process of “Question-Analysis-Solution-Design Practice”,this dissertation takes the aged puzzle toys as the research subject and tries to bring the theory of multiple intelligences into the design of elderly toys.It may help the eldly to develop Intelligence again while playing these toys.This thesis may provide some help for improving the intelligence decline of the elderly.The main works of this dissertation are as follows:1.Based on the theory of multiple intelligences,the development of individual intelligences are analyzed in detail.The characteristics of the decline of intelligence of the elderly are obtained,and the application methods of multiple intelligences theory in the design of toys for the aged are put forward,which provides theoretical support for product design.2.Users’ needs are investigated by questionnaire and interview,and their intellectual needs are deeply excavated.The effects of users’ physiological and psychological characteristics on toy design are analyzed.Finally,the design demands of elderly toys are integrated.3.Detailed market research and data collection are carried out on existing products to find market vacancies,and characteristics analysis is carried out from four aspects of intellectual function,material,form and color to summarize the status quo to guide later practice.At the same time,this dissertation analyzes the problems existing in the old toy market,and puts forward the new design ideas for the old toys.4.Based on the previous research results,the design ideas of old age toys are put forward,and the theory of multiple intelligences is introduced into the design of old agetoys.Combining with ergonomics knowledge,the balancing plate and the twelve zodiac puzzle toys are designed to improve Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence and Visual-spatial intelligence respectively.In this dissertation,the theory of multiple intelligences is introduced into the design of elderly toys,trying to explore it from some new perspectives,providing new ideas and methods for the design of old age toys.The results show that the application of multiple intelligences theory in the design of toys for the elderly is feasible,and it is of great significance to the revitalization of the intelligence of the elderly.
