In order to meet the challenges and needs of the water quality monitoring industry at present,this paper will introduce a water quality monitoring device based on NB-Io T technology after analyzing the development status and work requirements of this industry.Compared with the manual monitoring method,this device improves the work efficiency of water quality monitoring and reduces the cost.Compared with the traditional wireless monitoring method,this device has more reliable communication and more application scenarios.The design feature of this device is the mode that both software and hardware are developed,so,the monitoring process can be automatically completed from data acquisition to result display.This kind of design reduces the load of the monitoring and achieves the goals that monitoring results can be stored in the computer for users to view at any time.The design content of this device includes hardware design and software design.The hardware design includes components selection and electronic circuit connection.The hardware of this device consists of four modules: power,microprocessor,sensor and NB-Io T.The sensor module includes three kind of sensors,they are temperature,turbidity and p H.Software design includes the microprocessor programming and the host computer programming.The microprocessor programming is used to control the work of the sensors and microprocessor,they will collect and calculate the measuring data,and realize the transmission function of the NB-Io T module.In addition,the microprocessor programming realizes the power consumption mode and stability of this device.The host computer programming is used to monitor the storage of data.At last,B/S network architecture should be built by Tomcat server on the host computer,and the monitoring results can be viewed through the browser by programming.This paper will not only introduce the design steps and the design ideas,but also introduce the theoretical knowledge related to the device,the working principle and parameters of the sensor,etc.Through these words,readers can understand the working details of this device and know the reasons for the selection of the design schemes.
