The automobile panel stamping forming simulation technology has vital significance in shortening automobile manufacture cycle, reducing cost, improving design quality and enhancing market competitive ability. In this thesis, the finite element simulation technology of automobile panel stamping forming is researched, and an automobile front fender stamping forming is simulated.The theory of automobile panel stamping forming with finite element method is elaborated and researched as follows: Non-linear finite element equation and its solution, shell element types, yield criterion, relation of strain and stress, contact and hourglass processing and so on.The establishing method of stamping tools and blank finite element model are studied. Some approachs which make simulation model construction accurate and rational are proposed. The definition methods of blank holder force, punch velocity and lubrication condition are elaborated.Through analyzing time step of simulation computation, the primary factors of influence simulation calculation efficiency are discovered. Namely, the size of finite element mesh, material density, Young's model, Poisson's ratio, scale factor for sliding interface penalty and virtual punch velocity and so on, the approach of improving calculation efficiency are proposed.How to improve and make the simulation accurate is researched too.The method and principle of ensuring calculation precision including finite element algorithm, element type, mesh division, yield criterion, material model and technics parameters selection are summarized and proposed.The springback mechanism is researched, the main factors which influence the accuracy of springback simulation are analyzed, and then they are studied using a simulation example. A simulation experiment method by orthogonal testing is explored. The primary and secondary statuses of various factors that influence springback simulation precision are obtained. The value scopes of main factors that influence springback simulation accuracy are offered at length.
