With the development of computer technology,the research and application scope of virtual reality technology has been extended to various fields of life,especially in the field of virtual education.In view of the problem of lacking of practice and skills training in universities and enterprises,and we analyze the shortcomings of traditional two-dimensional simulation,combine with virtual reality technology and present a research of three-dimensional virtual simulation system of crude benzene section in coking plant based on Unity3 D.Through the analysis of the actual situation of crude benzene section,we firstly determine the research route of using Sketch Up as a modeling tool and Unity3 D for the 3D engine.Secondly,we combine with chemical industry internship and training needs,and determine the system should have functions of roaming,virtual equipment operation,equipment operation principle view,and security education and so on.Finally,the system should be optimized to enable it to run smoothly on a regular computer.Combined with specific research,the main work of this paper and research results are as follows:(1)Basically completed the drawing of the three-dimensional model of the main equipment and pipelines in rough benzene section,and built a virtual rough benzene section of the scene.(2)Achieve a multiple roaming mode,which combines with the third person mode,flight mode,and automatic pathfinder mode.(3)Achieve the virtual operation of valves and pumps corresponding to the actual process flow;(4)Achieve the function of observing internal structure and operation principle of the cooler and the benzene tower.(5)Achieve the functions of dangerous warning,security assessment and multi-person collaborative fire processing.(6)Adding a number of user-friendly features to make the system easy to use.(7)Using the setting-camera-rendering-distance,occlusion-removing,and LODtechniques to optimize the system.In a word,the 3D virtual simulation system of the crude benzene section in the coking plant has a high degree of authenticity and a strong immersion for the user.The system includes a keyboard mouse click,drag,interactive way more interactive function is rich,running smoothly in the ordinary computer,the user feedback is good,have a good reference value for 3D simulation applications of other types,and it is a valuable exploration.
