Fluid catalytic cracking(FCC)plays an important role in the refinery,which is regarded as the main production unit of gas and light oil products such as liquefied gas,gasoline,diesel oil,etc.Nowadays,because of serious environmental problems,the upgrading of fuel oil products,the increasing demand for high-quality gasoline and diesel oil and the higher requirements are put forward for FCC production.How to optimize the process operating parameters of FCC,increase the yield to light oil,improve product quality,and obtain the most economic benefits have become hot research topics.In this paper,based on material balance calculation of MIP process products,it was found that there is a deviation in the material division,leading to low hydrogen utilization.Various factors,including key factors were analyzed during the heat balance calculation for the MIP process;Coking was found after analysis of pressure balance calculation for the MIP process;The composition of energy consumption was further analyzed.Then,various factors affecting energy consumption and energy saving measures were discussed based on the calculation of the energy balance of the MIP process.Based on the optimization of the MIP process,the indicators of the MIP process operation items have reached the design requirements.The MIP process diesel-to-gas ratio decreased from 1: 1.733 to 1: 1.937,which is more suitable for the northern market with low diesel and multi-gas consumption;the light oil yield increased from 66.95% to 71.4%;the total yield increased from 85.7% to 90.03%;The coke forming rate decreased to 8.28%;the slurry yield decreased to 1.67%;the octane number of gasoline reached 92;the propylene yield increased to 5.5%;the MTBE yield increased to 2.55%;the energy consumption decreased to 36.10 kg standard oil per ton of raw materials.This research shows that optimization of MIP process unit achieved satisfying results.In this case,the optimized MIP process plays a very important role on producing iso-paraffins in the FCC unit,if taking into account useful products such as propylene.This work not only realizes the optimization of product distribution as well as product quality(e.g.high qualified light and clean fuel),but also contributes to increasing the economic benefits of FCC unit operation.
