Continuous Steel Casting is a process in which liquid Steel is directly cast by Casting,condensation and cutting.With the development of continuous casting technology,the yield and quality of billet have been greatly improved.In recent years,the problem of overcapacity in China has been worsening.As the main steel producing area in Jiangxi province.Pingxiang has borne the brunt of the task of reducing overcapacity in the steel industry in the whole province.In this context,Pingxiang iron and steel co.,LTD.must optimize the technical structure and strengthen the technical innovation in order to continue to achieve good benefits.There are 4 billet continuous casting machines in Jiujiang branch of Pingxiang iron and steel co.Based on the development status of continuous casting technology at home and abroad,this paper firstly introduces the technological process of continuous casting and the characteristics of continuous casting machine,and expounds the c omponents and working principles of continuous casting machine in detail.For continuous casting machine overall design of PLC control system,combined the technology of field bus and industrial Ethernet,established with PLC controller as the core tier 1,human-machine interface operation,monitoring control system for the secondary core,and the configuration of the system and each subsystem are analyzed in theory and design,make the system more perfect control module,further improve the control precision.Then the software system of PLC control system of continuous casting machine is designed,and the HMI human-machine interface of PLC continuous casting control system is redesigned,so that the division of labor of each functional module is more reasonable,and the degree of automation is further improved.Casting machine PLC control system design in this paper have been successful in Jiujiang branch factory in operation,a complete set of continuous casting machine is in the China metallurgical continuous casting machine(R8m five machine five flow billet caster),on the basis of further perfecting continuous casting production process and the man-machine interface,improved the automation system of continuous casting machine,eventually to build a set of accord with the present situation of electrical automation control system.The application of this system accelerates the pace of the application of new technology and new process in Pingxiang iron and steel co,and also provides a model for other control systems to be popularized and implemented in Pingxiang iron and steel co.
