A Study On Urban Space Planning Strategy Of Garden City Construction Under Renovation And Restoration Orientation

The cities have entered into the stage of transformation development in the new normal,meaning urban space utilizations are gradually changing from increment to stock correspondingly as well.On the one hand,the urban space should be combed during the period to improve its efficiency of functional carrying;on the other hand,ensuring the sustainable utilization of resources represented by ecological resources of cities is also needed,and this is exactly the practical basis of the "Renovation and Restoration" work in China.As a new model of urban development optimizing the urban construction and promoting the health of ecological cycle,"Garden City"conforms to the trend of urban sustainable development under today's "Renovation and Restoration" policy.In this view,Putuo District,located in Zhoushan,is selected as the research subject in this research paper.For one thing,progresses of related theories and researches at home and abroad concerning "Renovation and Restoration" and "Garden City" is combed;for another,existing conditions of development in Putuo District are analyzed in detail to confirm that it owns the conditions to build a sea-garden city,combined with the relevant requirements of existing plannings,we summarize the main bottlenecks of urban development at the present stage,thus provide a practical reference for the definite views of relevant spatial planning.It can be seen through the analysis that Putuo's urban space owns fine natural resources as well as good conditions of development,while the current development situation of different areas in Putuo differs much and each area goes its own way."Renovation and Restoration" and "Garden City" provide a relatively fit inspiration of Construction for Putuo District,the former offers a definite orientation of development,well the latter points out a development goal in the days to come for the district.Firstly,on this basis,international cases are selected and a summary on related experience is made in this paper,enlightening the leading thinking of urban space planning in the future.Secondly,thinking of renovation and restoration for Putuo District to build a sea-garden city is formed in the framework of "Renovation and Restoration",on the one hand,antecedent practice of other countries is included;on the other hand,selectable development modes of Putuo District are defined from the following five aspects:ecology,functions,traffic,Infrastructures and cultural connotations.Thirdly,based on the thinking of renovation and restoration,this paper makes further directive system of Putuo's urban space planning of sea-garden city.The system is composed of specific space planning strategies which correspond to the preceding development modes,and it involves the restoration of ecological pattern,construction of functional structures,optimization of trafffic network,improvement of infrastructures,deepening of cultural connotations,etc.Lastly,based on the demonstration of Putuo District,this paper defines conclusions as follows:launching a timely urban development guidance which suits measures to local conditions,strengthening the construction of urban parks system,pushing forward synchronously the collage of urban functions and the complements of traffic as well as infrastructures,creating a characteristic urban brand,etc.The conclusions are avail to the practice of garden city construction under the "Renovation and Restoration" policy in our country.
