The direction of Smartpowergrids development is to build an integrated management and network information transmission system,to realize the operation and management of power remote monitoring and scheduling unified dispatch center,including the use of information technology,sensor technology,automatic control technology and the organic integration of grid infrastructure,access to grid panorama information in order to detect and anticipate possible failures.Improving the level of intelligence substation maintenance and management within the battery is also a new topic for the power system.Practice has proved that by the means of information technology within the substation battery for real-time,long-term,effective monitoring and automatic bridging without gap,to ensure the stability and extend the power substation battery life and to solve the problem of system collapse caused by failure of individual battery is of great significance.Therefore,an Intelligent Management System for Storage Battery of Transformer Substation will be an indispensable component of the transformer substation.This paper analyzes the role,advantages and disadvantages of lead-acid batteries.The reasons affecting the life of the battery and the technical problems was studied to aim at the problems that battery monitoring exists for the current monitoring program is not comprehensive,yet requires manual for maintenance and other defects.Systematic analysis of an intelligent management system for storage battery of transformer substation was developed to design an intelligent management system of storage battery for Amoy Zhongshan 220kV substation which provides good reference for the future operation and maintenance of Amoy area substation battery.According to the 220kV Zhongshan substation battery's actual situation,put forward the design and the structure of the intelligent management system for storage battery.The intelligent management terminal for the intelligent management system of battery in substation is designed,and the functional module to monitor on line,the capacity checking online,automatic bridging for damaged battery,the maintenance online and activation function are developed.The main station monitoring and management system of the intelligent management system for battery in substation is designed and the software is developed in this paper.This paper discusses the equipment installation of the intelligent management system for battery.Real time online monitoring and intelligent management of battery in Zhongshan substation is realized.Compared with the traditional maintenance system for battery,the new one has the following features that the battery faulted can be bridged automatically with intelligent method,the method to charge and discharge for all the battery are replaced with the new way for single battery,the technique to activating is used to extend the life of battery,and to replacing the single faulted battery with distributed management and maintenance technology.Lead-acid battery life is subject to temperature,charge state,and other related factors,the current technology has encountered a bottleneck,automatic bridging for the failure of the storage battery,realizing effective testing and maintenance and the maximum extension of battery life through other means is a technical goal to achieve.Systems studied in this paper for maintenance and management of the battery of intelligence substation has obvious advantages,the development of the systems also has a positive effect to improve production efficiency and ensure the safety of the grid.
