To stimulate the domestic demand,our country has made great progress in the development of the highway industry investing in a large number of infrastructure projects since 2008.However,the construction cost of highway construction project is high,and the construction fund gap is big,which is a common problem now.The highway engineering project directly affects the development of social economy and people's living standards,and other products can not be compared,so the construction cost of highway optimization,reduce project cost,is of great significance to promote the construction and development of highway project.In this paper,the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region expressway project cost as the research object,the engineering cost of construction projects in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region have been analyzed,find out the factors affecting the project cost in each stage,and the influence degree of these factors for further analysis,find out the key factors;the method of value engineering is introduced into the cost management in expressway project in order to improve the value,target,analysis of the relationship between function and cost,according to the value of coefficient quantization selected project priority to reduce the cost;finally the GX expressway project as the object,the key factors affecting the project cost characteristic is the focus of the study,using the method of value engineering construction cost of GX expressway project analysis and optimization of GX,saving the cost of highway construction,the results show that The application of value engineering theory in expressway project cost management has the characteristics of initiative,operability and practicability.It can be used as reference for highway project cost management of other projects.
