In recent years,MSWI(Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator)fly ash has been proposed for using in asphalt road projects.In order to study the performance of Asphalt mortar and asphalt mixture mixed with fly ash,this paper uses No.70 grade A road petroleum asphalt as matrix asphalt and uses limestone mineral powder and MSWI fly ash as fillers.The asphalt mortar with different MSWI fly ash contents and the asphalt mixtures with 4 ratio of MSWI fly ash and graded AC-16C were designed and tested in the laboratory.According to the test results,the influence of MSWI fly ash content on the performance of asphalt mortar and mixture was discussed,and the appropriate amount of MSWI fly ash was determined.The addition of appropriate amount of additives S and NaOH will help improve the safety of use for MSWI fly ash.Therefore,the effects of the addition of additives S and NaOH on the performance of MSWI fly ash asphalt binder and asphalt mixture are also studied.The research content of this paper provides a certain experimental basis for the scientific and extensive application of MSWI fly ash in asphalt road engineering.Firstly,through routine tests and Superpave tests,the conventional experimental parameters of Asphalt mortar with different MSWI fly ash contents were analyzed,including penetration.softening point,ductility and viscosity,and complex parameters of Superpave test technology parameters,phase angle,rut factor,creep stiffness,and creep rate.The test results and analysis show that with the increase of the MSWI fly ash content,the high temperature performance of the MSWI fly ash asphalt mortar is obviously improved,and the low temperature crack resistance performance does not change significantly;considering the high and low temperature and the material safety,the filler-bitumen ratio is 0.8.And MSWI fly ash content of 25%to 50%is more appropriate.Secondly,the mixture was tested for its performance.The test results and analysis show that with the increase of MSWI fly ash content,the high temperature stability of MSWI fly ash asphalt mixture increases,the crack resistance at low temperature decreases,and the water stability decreases significantly,but it meets the requirement of JTG F40-2004?Technical Specifications for Construction of Highway Asphalt Pavements?within a certain range of dosage.Considering the performance of the asphalt mixture comprehensively,it is recommended that the upper limit of the MSWI fly ash content be controlled at 25%.Finally,laboratory experiments were conducted on MSWI fly ash asphalt mortar and mixtures incorporating S and NaOH additives.The test results show that the incorporation of additives S and NaOH will reduce the high temperature performance of MSWI fly ash asphalt mortar and mixture,but have little effect on the low temperature performance,and will significantly reduce the water stability of MSWI fly ash asphalt mixture.The results of this study provide a certain reference for the resource utilization of MSWI fly ash.
