The Lingnan waterside village is a valuable asset of historical evolution. The unique landscape of the water village is an important expression of the regional cultural characteristics of Shunde. However, with the development of the Pearl River Delta in the urban and rural areas, the landscape greenspace of Shunde waterside villages has been severely disturbed and destroyed. As a landscape heritage, the size of the base pond has also been reduced. The original village landscape has been destroyed, and the pattern of landscape greenspace is not very reasonable. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore the pattern of landscape greenspace suitable for the development of Shunde waterside villages. This paper summarizes the current status of planning and development of urban and rural landscape green space at home and abroad and combines urban and rural planning, human geography, urban morphology, and several other theories and urban imagery guidance methods based on urban green space system planning theory. The exploration and analysis of the layout of landscape greenspace in Shunde Waterside Villages.Three typical towns(Longjiang Town,Xingtan Town,Junan Town)of the southwestern region of Shunde in the Pearl River Delta region were selected as the research object, and the reasons that influenced the layout were summarized, and the formation mechanism of the landscape greenspace was analyzed.Research the layout of overall landscape green space in three towns of Shunde waterside villages. The paper is studied from the following five sections.(1)The research background and significance of the topic, defining the research object, introducing the research methods and technical routes, and summarizing the theory and status quo of domestic and foreign rural planning and green space research.(2)The definition of related concepts and the review of relevant theoretical studies, and applying these methodologies to the study of the formation of landscaped greenery in the three towns of Shunde.(3)Based on the image of villages and towns, combined with the theory of urban imagery, emphasizing human cognition as the main orientation and analyzing the mechanisms affecting the spatial shape of the three towns' landscape greenspace, including the image-thematic orientation and regional spatial imagery, visual aesthetic interest orientation, cultural orientation, and policy environment guidance.(4)The morphological analysis of the landscape greenspace in the three towns of Shunde waterside villages and using the structural elements of “points, lines, and plane,” divides the landscape greenspace into blocky landscape greenspace and linearlandscape greenspace.Combining the principles and mechanisms of spatial layout,it is believed that the layout of block-shaped landscape greenspace has the characteristics of the hierarchical structure, integration of critical points with the general landscape, size and integration, and balanced distribution; The layout of the linear landscape greenspace emphasizes the role of the landscape peridot and the landscape axis. The overall layout of the net landscaped greenspace concluded and summarized in the final form is “multiple nodes in the two corridors.” The status quo of the layout and deficiencies are analyzed, and the reasonable protection and development of the greening of the villages and towns are further proposed. The dissertation studies the spatial distribution pattern of landscape greenspace in three townships of Shunde waterside villages and pays attention to the relationship between the functionalities of landscaped green space and human needs. It proposes guidance for the overall planning of green space and provides suggestions for the planning of greenspace in Lingnan Water Village in the Pearl River Delta.
