Construction Techniques And Inheritance Practice Of Road Facilities In Traditional Villages In Southern Water Village

Traditional villages,as the "base" of our country’s historical and cultural heritage and traditional culture,their protection and inheritance play an important role in the protection system of historical and cultural heritage.Road facilities are one of the material carriers for the protection and transmission of traditional village infrastructure.The degree of improvement and coordination is an important indicator to measure the effectiveness of traditional village protection.However,for a long time it has not been highly valued by the academic circles and society in the protection of historical and cultural heritage.In the process of modern urbanization,the protection and inheritance of road facilities has encountered a strong impact,and its roots lie in the construction of traditional road facilities.The contradiction between inheritance and the prevalence of modern technology has led to the predicament of the loss of traditional road infrastructure construction skills.This study selected traditional villages in Jiangnan Water Village and traditional villages in Lingnan Water Village as comparable research objects.First of all,the village forms formed by the two have greater similarities and all show a strong hydrophilic complex.The internal morphological elements are constructed and arranged with the river network as the center.Secondly,there are regional differences in geographical location,climate and environment,social economy,and history and culture between the two water townships.Under such similarities and differences,the village pattern and road pattern will inevitably show many different characteristics.This provides a valuable sample of research on traditional village road facilities.This study combines the literature review and field surveys in the traditional villages of the Jiangnan Water Village and the traditional villages of the Lingnan Water Village to explore the issues of the inheritance of traditional village road facilities and their construction skills,and through the investigation of the survey data and literature,combined with the research status,The skills of traditional village road infrastructure construction were summed up.Finally,the case study of Xinwei Village in HeW Village,Zengcheng town Guangzhou wasused as an empirical case,and a practical strategy for using the traditional road infrastructure construction skills to solve the dilemma of road facilities in Xinwei Village was proposed.Through this study,the summary of traditional village road construction skills and the inheritance practice strategy of Xinwei Village provide the basis and reference for the next step in the study of improvement of traditional village road facilities,which is of practical significance to the protection and development of traditional villages.
