Research On The Historical Changes Of The Cultural Landscape In Mogan Mountain National Scenic Spots

The reasonable development and utilization of scenic resources is an important part in the national scenic spots planning.This paper attempts to study the Mogan Mountain cultural landscape in a historical perspective,basing on the integration of related records,culture series,other books with periodicals,newspapers and other academic achievements to the exploration of the natural change mechanism and cultural motivation,combing the Mogan Mountain landscape changes in each historical period,in order to provide references for domestic scenic spots’ sustainable development and the utilization of the cultural connotation and the propaganda to the scenic spots.Mogan Mountain national scenic spots locating in Deqing County,which called "Cool World".At the beginning of twentieth Century,Mogan Mountain with Beidaihe,Mount Lu,and Jigong Mountain called "the four summer resorts in China".Since Southern Liang Dynasty,Mogan Mountain have evolved into three historical contexts through the evolution of germination,development,boom,decline and revival.The article is divided into three different parts as follows: 1.The study of Mogan Mountain’s changes in cultural landscape,including the natural mechanism and the cultural motivation,summarizing the characteristics and laws of Mogan Mountain cultural landscape;2.In vertical aspect,taking the historical development since the Qin and Han as the starting point,summarizing the cultural characteristics of Mogan Mountain;in vertical aspect,taking the social economy transformation,population migration and cultural evolution as the starting point,analysing the common factors,stage factors and individual factors in the evolution of Mogan Mountain cultural landscape resources in various historical periods,confirming the process;3.Summarizing the characteristics and formation in the historical changes of cultural landscape in Mogan Mountain,combining with the present situation in scenic spots and giving some suggestions for protection and utilization.The following changes are found in the study:(1)The Mogan Mountain scenic spots in the Qin and Han Dynasties are known to the world because of the spread of legends of Wu Yue,but the mostly landscape resources are natural landscapes,which have not yet been developed in real sense;(2)In the period of the Wei,Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties,a small amount of religious monasteries appeared in Mogan Mountain due to the South crossing of the crown and the spread of Buddhism in the south,but the main landscape resources were still the natural sceneries;(3)In the Sui and Tang Dynasty and the Song Dynasty,the religious cultural landscape of Mogan Mountain entered into the climax stage because of the great promotion of social and economic conditions and the blending of Confucianism and Taoism and Buddhism.The cultural landscape of "weapon culture" is also developing;(4)During the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,most of the early humanistic landscape in Mogan Mountain was destroyed.The temples were built and repaired,and there were few new buildings.Although the resources of Mogan Mountain’s religious cultural landscape were not as prosperous as the Tang and Song Dynasties,they also maintained quantity and scale,but gradually declined at the end of the Qing Dynasty;(5)At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,due to the gradual revival of the construction of the summer resort,the Mogan Mountain appeared the summer buildings and the Luhua Dang Park and the Shady Mountain Street to serve the summer resort.After the founding of new China,due to the movement of reservoir construction,the Mogan lake and the Shi Yi lake were built,reflecting the social background at that time.Since then,the cultural landscape of Mogan Mountain has basically maintained its original appearance.In view of the existing problems in the Mogan Mountain,this paper puts forward suggestions for protection and utilization,mainly including three points:(1)making clear the object of protection and to using reasonable measures;(2)excavating cultural connotation and realizing the value of culture;(3)using existing policies to renew cultural faults.This paper concludes that the development and changes of Mogan Mountain cultural landscape not only reflect the general law of the development of the cultural landscape in the scenic spots,but also map the rise and fall of the modern nation,with the characteristics of the landscape resources of the Western summer resort,which is very rare in the types of scenic spots in China.
