Study On The Spatial Regeneration And Modern Suitability Of Huizhou Traditional Settlement

As the most important part of China’s historical and cultural heritage,Huizhou traditional settlements retain a large amount of material and intangible cultural heritage.Due to the influence of natural,historical,cultural and social factors,the spatial environment shows strong regional features,forming a fresh and elegant overall appearance,various forms of space,rich spatial structure,unique architectural components.However,with the advent of the information age,people’s lifestyle changes,and the traditional settlement space in Huizhou can no longer satisfy the modern life.At the same time,with the continuous development of tourism in Huizhou,people’s activities have caused some damage to the original space environment,resulting in certain conflicts between Huizhou traditional settlements space and modern suitability.How to reconstruct the traditional settlement of Huizhou in order to meet the modern suitability has become an urgent problem to be solved.The purpose of this thesis is to study and explore the principles and strategies of Huizhou traditional settlements in order to enhance the modern suitability of settlement space.First of all,with the descriptive analysis of the traditional settlement space in Huizhou,the space is summarized as the spatial material dimension and the spatial cultural dimension,and its characteristics are summarized.Second,the author deeply analyzes the connotation of modern suitability of Huizhou traditional settlements space,taking the method of issuing questionnaires to investigate the modern suitability of Huizhou traditional settlements.Using the methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis,the author draw four common factors that affect modern suitability: spatial function and influencing factors,spatial environment,spatial scale and layout,building quality and style.Third,the author put forward the corresponding principles and strategies with four common factors that affect the modern suitability.From seven aspects of settlement form memory and continuance,space function transformation and regeneration,multi-format compounding and innovation,Huizhou cultural integration and expression,street space integration and optimization,building monomer rebuilding and rebirth,construction technology inheritance and development to correspond strategy research.At the end,taking Huizhou Hongcun as an example,the author analyzes the principles and strategies to ensure that they are practical.Based on theoretical analysis and investigation,this thesis adopts the method of combining quantitative and qualitative analysis to explore the principles and strategies of space regeneration of traditional settlements in Huizhou,which is of great significance to realize the modern suitability of Huizhou traditional settlements and the sustainable development of Huizhou traditional settlements.
