Study On The Woman’s Demand For Facilities In Urban Public Garden Landscape

The urban landscape design represents the culture and the spirit of a cityand inheritin g the memory of a generation.With the obviously development of China’s urbanization r ate and the urban population continues to increase.As a result,city-dwellers are no lo nger merely satisfied with the simple material needs,the importance of urban public l andscape design is becoming evident.However the problem of urban public landscape design’s assimilation trend is more and more severe,city’s ‘name card’ is losing its i dentity.More importantly,the differences of urban gender space has been neglected fo r a long time.Traditional landscape design usually focuses on ‘male-dominated’ standa rd concept of planning,along with it,there exists many activity usage issues,which l eads to the short of humanization design in urban public landscape.This thesis intends to embark upon the problems of this less-humanity design on neglecting females’ mentality,physiology characteristics and living behavior pattern.Co mbing with the relevant references and analysis,choose some field landscape as the r esearch object such as Qiaotou Park and Huaihe cultural square and landscape of stree t greenbelt in Longzihu District,Bengbu of Anhui province.Through field research,su mmarized in women under the perspective of urban public landscape design strategy,the cor e research content is as follows:1.Clear urban public landscape,female perspective and other relevant concepts,t hrough consulting relevant literature both at home and abroad as well as practice inve stigation and study,the urban public landscape elements,characteristics,classification a nd function of the detailed and comprehensive analysis of the concept of cognition,gr oundwork for further research.2.Based on the survey of landscape elements by male and female in the most re presentative urban public garden landscape in Bengbu,women tend to have a higher level of attention and demand for all kinds of landscapes than men.Women of differe nt ages and education backgrounds were significantly different from men in terms of r esidence time,area,activity contents and facilities requirements and landscape preferen ce in public garden landscape in this survey,especially for the public landscape infrast ructure such as paving,toilet,seat and landscape elements such as plants,water featur es and safety factors,such as lighting,landmark.3.Combining questionnaire survey results and theoretical knowledge for statistical analysis,generalize female residents’ evaluations and demands for urban public landscape environment design.However,the actual survey results are deficient in comparison with the expected value.Therefore,the author puts forward specific optimization strat egies and opinions on the various landscape factors of urban public gardens in Bengb u city from the perspective of female aesthetic mode,psychological characteristics and behavioral characteristics.4.The research on the female perspective of urban public garden landscape desig n is of exploratory significance and provides reference for future research of the same kind.It will be awakening society and designers’ concern for women and continuous development and refinement of the concept of "humanized" design further developme nt and improvement.
