Research On The Method Of Traffic Status Evaluation For Highway Network

With the rapid development of social economy,the construction speed of highway traffic infrastructure has been accelerated gradually,and the network scale has also been expanded constantly.However,with the increasing of vehicle ownership,the traffic congestion has became a serious problem which the operation of highway network is facing,and it has resulted in the operational efficiency of the entire highway network reducing gradually.Therefore,it is urgent to do some correlation researches on the traffic status of the highway network to provide reliable decisionmaking basis for traffic managers,provide effective traffic information for traffic participants,improve travel efficiency and reduce travel time.First of all,this paper took the research on the traffic flow data quality control based on the fixed detector data.And the abnormal data were respectively complemented and corrected by using the interpolation method and the arithmetic averaging method which were both based on the time series.It laid foundation for accurate evaluating the traffic status of highway network in the future.Next,this paper established the macroscopic model to evaluate adaptability of highway network by using comprehensive evaluation method based on AHP,and put forward the microscopic model to evaluate adaptability of highway network from capacity.Then,according to the characteristic values of the macroscopic fundamental diagram and the road network operating efficiency index,the traffic operation status of the entire highway network and each level of highway network were both divided into four levels,and the average speed of the highway network was also selected as the traffic status evaluation index of the highway network,at last,the evaluation model of traffic operation status was established.Finally,the case analysis was taken for the adaptability and traffic status of highway network by using the quality-controlled traffic flow data through taking the highway network in Hebei Province as the background,and the evaluation results of these two methods were compared in order to analyze the consistency of them.Meanwhile,the evaluation system of highway network was developed based on GIS.It made the above theoretical methods visualized.
