Research On Adaptability Evaluation Of Highway Network Development

Although highway network is the foundation of highway transportation,attention paid to the analysis and evaluation about adaptability of highway network development has always been insufficient.Thus,plenty of problems in highway network development such as irrational structure and low network efficiency have not been solved well.Therefore,it is necessary to do research on evaluation system and method,by which we can find out the existing deficiencies on highway network and try to remedy them.Firstly,this thesis introduces the connotation of highway network adaptability and proposes the goal of highway network development,then determines the concept of the evaluation.Secondly,based on external environment and internal factors,the analysis on highway network adaptability is proposed from the perspective of external and internal adaptability.In terms of external adaptability,the main factors considered are economic construction,society development and natural environment.As for internal adaptability,the scale,structure,layout and operation service of highway network are under consideration.Then,an evaluation index system is established after indexes being screened through Delphi method on the basis of the initial indexes.Thirdly,the method of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation is applied to the evaluation.Finally,an adaptability evaluation of highway network in Wuhan City is conducted as a demonstration according to the system and method above.The structured and practical evaluation index system established in this thesis can describe the characteristics of highway network more thoroughly.Based on the system,a multi-level evaluation can be conducted through the method of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation,which can disclose deficiencies on highway network and provide guidance for further improvement.
