Along with the acceleration of modernization progress and the development of social economy, the higher requirement for regional highway network shall be posed. In order to adapt the regional social economy, analyzing the regional highway network is important and necessary. In this paper, according to the basic theory of adaptability analysis, author proposes the definition and object of regional highway network from two aspects: macroscopic and microscopic. On the basis of the parameters construction principle, author put forward the evaluation index system and defines criteria value of each index. Besides, paper also analyze the feature of traffic demand and study the influence to traffic individual from highway alignment, pavement and subsidiary facilities. Finally, by using the ways of systematic thoughts and combining to the construction and development of regional highway network in Xuchang, the paper carry on some significant research for adaptability study about regional highway network.
