The scraper conveyor is widely used in metallurgy,chemical industry,coal,mining and other fields.It mainly transports powder,small particles and small pieces of materials.The drag chain conveyor has bad working environment and is often subjected to the impact of alternating load.It is very important to analyze the static and dynamic characteristics of the drag chain conveyor.With the continuous development of static and dynamic analysis method,the finite element method and the gap analysis method make up for the shortcomings of the traditional analysis methods,and effectively improve the quality and life of the product.The contact strength of two combinations of the top and the dedendum of the sprocket teeth studied.Due to the difficulty of disassembly of the large size sprocket,the sprocket is designed as a composite structure.Through the software Creo,two kinds of models were set up,and the contact strength analysis of two kinds of split structure of the sprocket was carried out by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS;The contact strength of sprocket chain with three kinds of working conditions was studied.Chain and sprocket wear or chain pitch size is too large so that the chain and sprocket can not be fully engaged,resulting in gnawing teeth,jump teeth and the impact phenomenon.The contact strength of three kinds of working conditions was analyzed by ANSYS transient dynamic module.The curves of Mises stress nephogram and stress variation with time were obtained under three conditions;The dynamic equation of chain drive system of tooth gnawing,tooth skipping and normal working condition is established.Considering the gap between the roller and the sleeve,the normal contact force is analyzed by the LN continuous contact force model,the tangential friction force is the improved Coulomb friction model,and the Lagrangian equation is used to obtain the contact force,velocity and acceleration.The static and dynamic analysis of the drag chain conveyor is carried out,which provides a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the chain and sprocket.
