The Study On Update Of Dalian Victory Square And Underground Public Space

The intensification of urban modernization has made the underground complex widely used as a means of three-dimensional and intensive space development.However,the development of dynamic urban optimization has higher requirements for physical space,some underground complex public space are no longer adapted to the urban public space system and public transport system,the fragmentation of the regional environment has greatly negative impact on its own operation.As a typical underground complex,Dalian Victory Plaza has been no longer optimistic after nearly 20 years of business,its Victory Plaza and underground public space have exposed increasingly obvious space problems.Aiming at this research object,this paper is guided by the research of Urban Catalysts,Holistic Design on Urban Architecture and Environment-Behavior Studies,combining with domestic and international successful underground complex space cases,and then expanding the space investigation and usage feedback through 3 levels including macro “city view”,medium “interface with the city”,and micro “inner space” from the outside-in perspective of regional space to urban design and users,and exploring the corresponding and related spatial strategies.Remodeling the characteristic urban nodes through the integration of urban public space system,public transportation system and regional architectural style;Integrating the ground and underground space through the optimization of square,entrance and outside facilities;Improving the quality of space environment through transforming the inner space to be more orderly,intelligible and comfortable.At last,forming a comprehensive outlook,deducing the regenerative role and specific spatial measures,and emphasizing the collaborative operation of updating process.The aim is to activate the urban catalytic effect of Dalian Victory Plaza by holistic design on urban architecture considering the users' feeling.Waking up the underground space power of traditional commerce in the urban center on the basis of providing users with better business environment,transportation system and public communication space,to form the radiation regeneration effect on the regional environment,and what's more,to achieve the harmony and unity of the material environment and the non-material environment.At the same time,this paper hopes to provide some help and reference for the project to be updated of similar underground complex space in the future.
