The urban parking difficulties are caused by the contradictions between the quickly increased bumber of cars and the insufficient planed parking lots,low building standard,under-developed parking management and techniques.The parking resources have been insufficient in city's commercial zones and hospitals.However,there emerges a large number of spare parking space in residential area around these places.Therefore,how to effectively use the spare private parking space to alleviate parking problems has drawn a wide attention from scholars,professionals and governments.In this paper,a systematic literature review and a wide social investigation were done on the problem of urban parking and the full use or sharing of private parking space.It was found that there is not a good method or a matching mechanism about the sharing of private parking space yet.It has become an urgent task to investigate and design a matching mechanism for the full utilization of private parking space.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)From the perspective of optimization about resources allocation,this paper discussed how to efficiently use the parking lots,which provided a sharing model and method for the realization of the design of the private parking space sharing system.According to the research on parking regularity and features of different types of users,a comprehensive solution of reservation and allocation about private parking space were proposed.For the users who have no regular parking time,the “split time lease mode” and “the best combination reservation mechanism based on preference order” are adopted.For those who own a parking space but need one during working days,the “day-renting model” and “modified top trading cycles mechanism” are adopted.(2)This paper gave an evaluation to the solution.The optimization index was confirmed and quantified.The experiment shows that the mechanism adopted in this paper has a higher degree of utilization rate and users satisfaction compared to the ordinary mechanism of first-book-first-get and has higher social benefit.(3)The problem of the owner's conflict with the social parking users over the using time of the parking space was discussed.(4)A data model was built for the private parking space sharing,including object models,database models,and the key algorithm for parking lot allocation was realized,which build a solid basis for the realization of the private parking space sharing system.
