Travelers save the costs during holidays of the expressway toll free,the y were stimulated to go out more by means of expressway during holidays ?Usage rate of expressway is signally promoted,at the same time,extensive traffic congestion and accident following.The paper summarized the domestic and foreign paper-related field,made an analysis of their localization,determined the objects of paper,expressway traffic flow,traffic accident,unlawful act on the road and traffic management during holidays of the expressway toll free.Take Hubei Province for instance,the paper contrastively analyzed historical traffic flow data,traffic accident data and unlawful act data,summarized the rule of their time,space and constitution.During this period,the proportion of passenger car flow and total flow rate was significantly higher than the average value of the whole year and other holidays.During the four holidays toll free,the Spring Festival in the sixth lunar calendar,the other three in the day of the festival traffic peak,the highest peak rate of Tomb-sweeping Day.Transit traffic flow and traffic out of the city,scenic spots are concentrated mainly in Wuhan and the surrounding area boundaries,near the toll station.Transit traffic is more balanced,and the flow of urban traffic will be formed in the afternoon and morning peak tidal flow.Traffic management is facing the greatest pressure from the back of the city and scenic rush hour rapid gathering of large traffic.The driver driving the short road driving experience,unfamiliar,safe and law-abiding consciousness due to insufficient road parking and other illegal increase.The difficulty of traffic management during peak hours is the timely detection and rapid disposal of small accidents and congestion.This paper summarizes the traffic management practice during the exp ressway toll free,and puts forward some specific traffic management measures.The paper collected the 2015 Tomb-sweeping Day,2015 National Day and 2016 Tomb-sweeping Day peak period of free car and non free car traffic flow data,speed data and overtaking lane change data.during the expressway toll free,the peak hour congestion mechanism was analyzed the conclusion: interference between free and non free cars overtaking lead to pass the ability to drop,congestion after the formation of restrictions int o the high-speed vehicle entrance and canot immediately resolve congestion.During 2016 Tomb-sweeping Day to take active traffic management,free car and non free car was separated,before the arrival of peak traffic flow in advance of the implementation of control measures for non free cars,and the speed was limited full.Comparative analysis of three kinds of different traffic control measures,its effect in 2016 Tomb-sweeping Day peak flow was more uniform,most of the time all vehicles in a steady state following,although the speed was low,but no congestion occured,and the smaller the distance between vehicles,the road utilization rate was high.This has certain guiding significance to the traffic management during the expressway toll free.
