As the basic parts of key components in heavy mechanical equipment,the large bars often occur to bend or twist in the process of forging or heat treatment.Statistically,70% of them need to be straightened by the subsequent operation to ensure product quality and reduce defective index.At present,most of the domestic straightening machines are semiautomatic or manual controlled.The bending shape and straightening stroke of the bar both depend on the human eyes and their own experience.Not only does lead to low measurement and straightening precision but also it requires intensive labor in the poor working conditions.Although the foreign straightening equipment perform better than our domestic products,it's hard to be introduce because of the high costing.Based on the existing research,the automatic straightening process of bar is further studied in this dissertation.The 20 MN C type automatic straightening measure method is proposed through the non-contact measurement.And the straightening process software is developed to realize the process of automatic measurement and the acquisition of straightening process parameters.Firstly,20 MN C type full-automatic bar straightening machine is systematically analyzed.The structure and composition of the straightening machine are studied.And then,the design features of each part of the mechanical structure and the working principle of straightening machine and automatic straightening process are detailed analyzed.Secondly,a method of detecting the bending shape of the bar is proposed.Based on the non-contact measurement,we use the two-dimensional laser line contour sensor to scan the profile of the bars,fit the center of cross sections and the center line of bar,determine the bending shape of the bar.And then calculate curvature parameters of the bar,divide the straightening section,judge the bending form of every sections,determine the points where need to be straightened.Finally,the straightening process software is developed.According to the functional requirements of automatic straightening machine,we design the software architecture.And then,through the Visual Studio platform,we complete the development of straightening process software,achieve the automatic measurement and the acquisition of straightening process parameters of bar by using C # programming language and Open GL visualization technology.
