| Jiezi River is the second largest tributary of the Yellow River in Xunhua County of Qinghai Province, and its main river goes across the Jiezi Town under the topography of estuarine valley. In 2014 and 2016,Jiezi Town has been included in the sixth batch of Chinese historical and cultural town and the third batch of national new unbanization integrated pilot area. The Chinese Party has clearly put forward the important national policy of the rural revitalization strategy in the 19 th Congress of the CPC.From country to the urban, the development of urban and rural integration has helped to push the development of rural settlements and the upgrading of the space system. As rural settlements in the river basin of the Jiezi River, how to balance the development of urban-rural integration and the continuity of the traditional settlement space system has become an important and urgent problem. This study hopes to take the traditional rural settlements’ spatial pattern as the research object,to grasp the overall spatial order of the settlements, and to analyze the basic charcteristics of the spatial pattern. This study is aimed to reveal the inner regional and original spatial evolution and its survial logic,so as to obtain the inspiration of the spatial optimization of the traditional settlements in this region.Firstly,it analyzes 20 traditional rural settlements of the target river basin area to define the whole distribution and classification, using the unique social organization structure of the Salar Gong.By using the method of graph analysis,it arranges the correlation of the settlements group and determines the specific case selections.Secondly, taking the core settlements of the Jiezi Gong and Chajia Gong as the study cases,it launches the research on three typical settlements’ spatial pattern. The research inludes the spatial form and the spatial structure. Finally, using the method of inductive deduction and comparative study, the paper sums up the characteristics of homogeneity spatial pattern in case analysis.By using typology and semiotics, this paper tries to induce and extract the survival genome in the spatial pattern of traditional rural settlements in the river basin. And it draws a conlusion of the rural settlements’ spatial optimazion on the principles of social organization, the restriction of geographical units, the principle of cultural inheritance and the field space effect of religious belief.Through the above research, the following conclusions are draw:(1)The typical spatial pattern of traditional rural settlements in the river basin is the circle-like colony with religious space as its core, and the religious space has the commanding function in the plane and vertical space. The different spatial levels are divided with the inner organizational structure Kongmusan, the streets and the other material landsacape elements(2)The study tries to construct the genome of the rural settlments. From the apsects of settlement layout pattern, space pattern, structure pattern and combination mode,it obtains the settlement survial gene elements including the settlement location, layout, space relationship between temple and residence, the basic living unit and so on.(3)The study puts forward the principle of group space optimization of the rural settlements. On the basic control of single settlement’s spatial pattern, the study emphasizes the overall settlements’ spatial pattern by the leading role of the relationship between the Salar religion and social organization. In addition,it puts forward the idea of constructing the traditional rural settlement area in the small watershed. |
