At present,China is in the period of rapid urbanization. The urbanization process is accompanied by a full range of demand for all types of construction products and is the most favorable stage for the development of the construction industry. The promotion and deployment of new urbanization have both opportunities and challenges for the construction industry. The construction industry has the certain characteristics of the industrial production.Promoting the industrialization of the building is the direction of industrial upgrading.Industrialization and urbanization are referred to as two-wheel drive for economic development.Industrial agglomeration is an important link in the process of industrialization, and is also an important manifestation and endogenous thrust of urbanization. The spatial distribution of industrial agglomeration and the spatial evolution of urbanization are highly coupled. Therefore, this article takes industrial agglomeration as an entry point to explore the relationship between agglomeration of the construction industry and new urbanization to answer the following questions:Is there any agglomeration and spatial correlation in the construction industry and how is the concentration of construction industry in each province and city;Is there an interactive relationship between the agglomeration of construction industry and new urbanization; Is there a spatial spillover in the relationship between agglomeration of the construction industry and new urbanization. In this paper,we first measure the spatial agglomeration of the construction industry from the general measurement index of industrial agglomeration and the spatial measurement Moran's I index, and use social networks to analyze the location of each province in the construction industry agglomeration spatial association network. Then use Panel data to analyze the relationship between urban agglomeration factors and urbanization. On this basis, establish the VAR model and the spatial Dubin model to explore the relationship between the agglomeration of the construction industry and the new type of urbanization.Research indicates:There is industrial agglomeration and spatial correlation at the provincial level in the construction industry. The density of spatial association networks in construction industry is low.The inhalation is much more than spillover and the agglomeration effect is obvious.Jiangsu,Guangdong,Shandong,Henan, and Sichuan are located at the center of the network and act as an intermediary hub. They have strong ability to absorb and control technical resources in the construction industry;Factors that have a greater impact on the agglomeration of the construction industry are closely related to urbanization;Granger causality between construction industry agglomeration and new urbanization. And Impulse response prediction result display: the accelerating effect of the construction industry agglomeration on new urbanization reaches the maximum in the second year, and the new urbanization has the most obvious impact on the construction industry concentration in the third year; The direct effect of the agglomeration of the construction industry on the new urbanization process is significant. The spatial spillover effect of human capital in the construction industry is significant, and the spatial spillover effect of knowledge technology is weak;Promote the spillover of knowledge and technology in the agglomeration of the construction industry and the industrialization of the construction industry to realize the interactive and coordinated development of China's construction industry agglomeration and new urbanization.
