The conservation and utilization of cultural heritage has become more and more important under the background of strengthening the cultural construction,promoting the prosperity of socialist culture and building a cultural big power in China.The research of conservation and renewal of historic conservation areas which are parts of the cultural heritages inhabited by residents,is very valuable and this research will be a long-term subject.In particular,China has so vast territory,so long history,and so diverse cultures that a large number of distinctive historic conservation areas have been formed in its long-lasting urban construction.But for the same reason,there are many problems in the conservation of historic conservation areas in practice.Popular method of conservation and renewal of historic conservation areas in China is to make conservation plans of districts,while those plans tend to be technical and lack of effective connection to the national strategy,lack of more directional and more theoretical guidance,and are easy to go astray in specific work.Therefore,it is extremely important to research the "tactic" which could undertake strategy and guide plan.For the above reasons,this paper intends to select Mishijie Historic Conservation Area in Liaocheng for research,in order to explore the issues about conservation and renewal tactics of historic conservation areas.This paper firstly summarizes the research progress in the conservation and renewal tactics of historical and cultural districts at home and abroad.Based on the analysis and comparison of existing tactics researches,on the one hand,this paper tries to define the concept of “tactic of conservation and renewal of historic conservation area”.On the other hand,through the study of classic cases of conservation and renewal of historic conservation areas,analyzes with literature review,a system of tactic of conservation and renewal of historic conservation area,which includes the establishment of goals,the conservation and renewal of buildings,the conservation and renewal of public spaces,the conservation and renewal of landscape,the conservation and renewal of business formats,the conservation and renewal of characteristic cultures,and the formulation of safeguard mechanisms and so on,is initially summarized in this paper.And this system is expected to verified in the Mishijie Historic Conservation Area in Liaocheng.Secondly,this paper studies the historical evolution of the Mishijie Historic Conservation Area in Liaocheng.Through the historical study of the Ancient City of Liaocheng,Mishijie District and Grand Canal,the historical relationship between “Liaocheng” and “Dongchang” was analyzed,and the historical and cultural research results of the Grand Canal was enriched.And the research on the planning characteristics of the Ancient City of Liaocheng supplemented the ancient urban planning and construction theory in China,and also provided a historical research basis for the formulation of the conservation and renewal tactic of Mishijie Historic Conservation Area in Liaocheng.Finally,this paper investigates the current situation of Mishijie Historic Conservation Area in Liaocheng.According to the system established in the previous section,this paper analyzes the district's status quo from seven aspects and proposes a targeted tactic of conservation and renewal.In summary,this paper initially summarizes a system of conservation and renewal tactic of historic conservation areas,and puts forward the specific tactic of conservation and renewal of Mishijie Historic Conservation Area in Liaocheng.It is hoped that the research results could help the conservation and renewal of Historic Conservation Area of Mishijie,and also provide a reference meaning for the conservation and renewal of other historic conservation areas.
