Renawal Investigation And Reflection Of Temple Wenshu Historic Conservation Area Of Chengdu

Chengdu has become one of the first historic cities of China for its long history and varieties of historic and cultural relics, playing an important part among Chinese historic cities. However, in recent years with the accelerated pace of urban construction, such relics are being badly destroyed. Among the few existing historic area, Temple Wenshu, Temple Daci and Kuanxiangzi and zhaixiangzi are listed as the historic area that need protected. Temple Daci and Kuanxiangzi and Zhaixiangzi are still in the construction process to renew, and the first renewal project of Temple Wenshu has been used since 2006.10. How to learn from the conservating and renewing of Temple Wenshu to make the conservation of other areas more scientific and reasonable is the task that we are facing seriously now.The thesis begins with the survey on Chengdu's historic conservation area, makes the renewed Wenshufang as its study goal and combines the related theories and practices in China and from abroad. a lot of work on the study has been done trying to find out the problems and put forward to some suggestions on the protecting and renewal of historic conservation area.There are four parts in this thesis. In the first part, it analyzes the development and practice of the protection of historic conservation area in China and from abroad and summarizes a few typical renewal models of China, also some researches have been done on the ideas and methods which are suitable for the renewing and protecting of Chinese cities. In the second part, it analyzes the formation and development of Temple Wenshu historic conservation area. It also looks back to the renewing background and makes some analyses on the renewing idea and model. In the third part, the writer has done lots of work on the spot and deeply analyzed the study with the help of a great many condensed questionnaires. In the last part, the writer thinks deeply about the renewal of Temple Wenshu historic conservation area, finds out the problems resulted from such renewal and does a lot of studying work on its causes. Based on such work, the writer tries to put forward to some suggestions on the conservating and renewing of Temple Wenshu historic conservation area.
