Research And Application On Cost Control Of Equipment And Materials In EPC Power Plant General Contract Mode

With the globalization of economic development and the advancement of the Belt and Road policy,more and more Chinese engineering companies are participating in the increasingly fierce competition in the international market.In recent years,the number of power station construction projects in international engineering projects has gradually increased.Such projects usually use the form of open international tenders to complete construction through the EPC general contract model.Due to the large amount of such contracts,the long duration,and the uncontrollable factors and high risks in the implementation process,it is difficult to control the cost of the project.In this context,in order to gain competitive advantages,engineering enterprises have introduced and absorbed advanced project cost management theories and methods.For the EPC project,cost control is the core function and important means of its management,and even plays a decisive role in the survival and development of the enterprise.In the control of project cost,the cost control of electric and mechanical equipment and materials is the most important factor.Based on the actual case of the general contracting project management of the international EPC power project of Company S,this paper makes an in-depth analysis and research on the cost management of electrical and mechanical equipment in the EPC project,using modern project cost management concepts,methods and research tools.It has identified effective means and methods for material cost management of electrical and mechanical equipment,established a work breakdown structure matrix corresponding to the EPC project of the international power station,and explored new methods for the cost management of Chinese enterprises in the EPC project of the international power station.In this way,the cost control level of the EPC project of the power station will be continuously improved,the market competitiveness of the enterprise will be enhanced,and the healthy development of the enterprise will be achieved.The cost management of electrical and mechanical equipment materials in EPC power station projects focuses on cost forecasting,cost decision-making,cost planning,cost control,cost accounting,cost analysis,and cost assessment.The author hopes that through the research of this article,it can help the Chinese EPC contractors to explore a set of practical methods and models for cost management of electrical and mechanical equipment and material,and through its application in the actual EPC project of the power station,it will truly achieve savings in project costs and improve economic benefits.Enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises in the EPC project market of international power stations.
