In recent years,extreme natural weather such as heavy rain and squall line winds frequently pose a great threat to the safe operation of the power grid.With the advancement of the strong smart grid strategy,higher requirements are put forward for the refinement of regional power grid dispatching operations.In order to achieve safe and economical grid dispatching operation,in addition to paying attention to the characteristics and operating status of the primary and secondary equipment of the power grid,the dispatcher also needs to pay attention to the real-time conditions of the weather in each geographical area,such as the current weather,temperature,precipitation,wind speed,snowfall and so on in the power supply area of each substation,so the operating conditions of the grid could be analyzed and the preparation for the possible failures in the grid could be made.So,based on the multi-dimensional demand of professional meteorological information for power grid monitoring and forewarning system,research and establish a perfect and scientific set of power grid monitoring and forewarning system based on meteorological information is very meaningful.Firstly,a lot of literature research work has been done,which includes the current development status of meteorological forecasting and grid monitoring and forewarning system,and the current development status of grid monitoring and forewarning system based on meteorological information.On this basis,the following major tasks have been done:(1)Statistical analysis method for the correlation research of meteorological information and grid faults in specific areas is carried out,and the demand for professional meteorological information by grid monitoring and early warning system is summarized.The function setting of grid monitoring and early warning system based on meteorological information is proposed.(2)For power grid monitoring and early warning,the grid monitoring and forewarning system should pay more attention to the ordering of equipment with higher fault risk rather than the specific probability.So the gray system theory and its correlation analysis are applied to calculate the degree of association between the ready—state meteorological data and the reference time meteorological data.And there are two states of the equipment which are historical faults state and no historical faults state.In this paper,the corresponding methods for determining the fault risk sequence are given respectively,and the examples are illustrated.(3)This paper constructs a grid monitoring and forewarning system based on meteorological information from the aspects of overall architecture,hardware design and software design.Its main functions include the visualization of meteorological information,the dynamic adjustment of transmission line operating limits,the monitoring of power grid operation sections,the monitoring and forewarning of on-site operations,and the static safety analysis based on meteorological information,which realizes the monitoring and control of key security nodes for grid dispatching operation.Based on the correlation between specific regional power grid equipment faults probability and meteorological information of different degrees,this paper proposes the premise of grid fault modes under different meteorological conditions.According to the degree of meteorology from weak to strong,the order of analysis is N-1 fault,N-1-1 fault and same tower N-2 fault.(4)Combined with the actual situation of Tai'an power grid,the application effect of monitoring and early warning system based on meteorological information is discussed.In the whole grid power flow interface,the visual display of key information on temperature,precipitation,wind speed and equipment overhaul status can be achieved and the dynamical adjustment of the operating limits of the transmission line can be achieved basing on the temperature around the device.The analysis and determination of the stability of the key section grid can be realized and the control of the grid operation risk point of the static safety analysis basing on the meteorological information can be realized.The monitoring and early warning system of power grid based on meteorological information,which combines meteorological information with monitoring and risk analysis of power grid equipment,has important practical value in analyzing the potential risks of power grid under different meteorological conditions.
