Renewal Design And Study Of Residential Space In Urban Historical Area

The renewal of the historical area is a very important subject in the process of urban construction.In the past ten years,the construction of the historical area is generally adopted a brutal way to maximize the economic benefits,problems such as the lack of infrastructure,the generally low quality of life,and the lack of living space in historical areas have not been effectively solved.This paper takes the Xiaoxihu area of NanJing as an example,trying to explore a pattern of updating the living space of the historical district with universal values through a series of design studies.The article gives an overview of previous design programs,sums up the problems existing in the living space of Xiaoxihu Area and the available resources,sorts out several types of problems of the same type of updated design,and conducts case studies.Conduct a special study on the status quo of living space organization model and apply it to follow-up designs.According to the site issues faced by the district update,four representative plots were selected for further design,and corresponding solutions were proposed for the specific issues of the plot.Through the comparison of multiple schemes in the design process,a relatively reasonable way of renewing the living space was concluded,with an expectation of providing an effective paradigm for the renewal of the residential space in the Xiaoxihu Area,and also to guide the self-renewal of private property owners in the area.
