Nutation drive with face gear which builds on nutation gear is new type of transmission.Since it has many unique advantages like small size,light weight,high recombination,high load capacity,high transmission rate and other superiority,it will be used widely in many fields on the situation of high-load.Aiming at this new type of transmission,the main content of this study is as follow:1.The first part of this study is about the generation principle of nutation drive with face gear and drive tooth surface.Firstly,this part introduce the operation principle and the elementary structure of Nutation drive with face gear.Secondly,it researches various influences from design of tooth profile parameters on transmission.Then,basing on reference frame which is established and meshing principle,this study deduces the tooth surface equation and the equations of fillets of the face-gear.2.The second part focuses on researches of the conjugate meshing principle of pinion gear drive.On the condition that there is no transformation of gear peak sharpening and tooth undercut of root,the formula about the limit size of nutation drive with face gear can be acquired.While the influences about design of tooth profile parameters on limit size and tooth profile also have been researched.Moreover,this part deduces the conditions of nutation drive with face gear's conjugate gears,study on generation method of data in disperse tooth surface with point coordinates and establish three-dimensional models.3.This part analyzes the meshing drive of nutation drive with face gear and deduces fundamental equation of meshing and the equation of locus with setting errors.This study also analyzes contact trace under different setting errors and analyzes main curvature's variation tendency of touch point.The principal curvature,the extended elliptical radius and the maximum contact stress of contact points are calculated.4.This study uses hybrid programming in VB and MATLAB to develop parametric design of nutation drive with face gear and analysis software of meshing which mainly includes parameters calculation,generation of tooth flank and meshing analysis.
