Industrial heritage is a product of the change of times and a special kind of cultural heritage.Although the values of its physical capital,human capital and natural capital have been decreasing,the status of its cultural capital is becoming more prominent than ever,especially the cultural capital of conserved and reused industrial heritage which should be explored and studied as a top priority.Currently the prevailing industrial heritage conservation and reuse form at home and abroad is to transform it into culture creative industry park that can inspire creativity,attract cultural tourists,drive industrial recovery and economic development according to the peculiar historical background and urban location of the industrial heritage.After defining the connotation and denotation of the research object,this thesis reviewed domestic and foreign researches so far and then established the value system of the cultural capital of cultural creative industry park from the perspective of industrial heritage value,by referring to the cultural and economic theories of cultural capital,considering the particularity of industrial heritage tourism,based on the utility theory of value and the theory of tourism resource science and referencing to the value assessment system of use value and non-use value in environmental resource science.It further expanded the value system of natural tourism resources to the field of cultural heritage.The studies of culture creative industry park,for a long time,have been focused on its objective attributes,classification,etc.,rather than analysis or assessment from an economic angle;since sociologist Pierre Boudieu brought forward the concept of cultural capital and David Throsby put forward the value classification of cultural capital and the possibility of its economic value assessment economically,there isn't a successful case of cultural heritage assessment yet both in China and abroad.The results of interviews and questionnaire about tourism perception and impression provided in this thesis are to serve as an evidence and quantitative support of the result here.This research respectively assessed the use value and non-use value of the cultural capital of 798 Art District by referring to the most widely used,popular and sophisticated travel cost method(TCM)and Contingent Valuation Method(WTP).This thesis improved the assessment method creatively:(1)the TCM solves the problem of multi-destination tourism by using the proportion of tour time as the weight factor;(2)in addition to the traditional arithmetic mean and median value method,the WTP method introduced the Contingent Valuation Method and area stratification method in calculating the WTP mean value;because the population base is selected according to different purpose and significance,the non-use value is not a fixed one.After assessment,the use value is RMB 1,537,633,100,so the non-use value is RMB 292,521,400-RMB 7,023,9852,800.After comparing the use value and non-use value and considering the findings about the “tourists' perception and impression of 798 Art District”,it is proposed here that the Art District retain its art and culture atmosphere so as to achieve a sustainable development.
