The product platform,at a certain level,is a product architecture made up of shared functions,technology and structure,as well as a framework of knowledge to expression functional,technical and structural information among a set of similar products.Based on the product platform for product family development can effectively reduce the cost of development,but also meet customer demand for new products to a certain extent flexibly,so at the very start,the product platform has a huge advantage for product development and design.But in practice,with the passage of time,due to the continuous change of user requirements and progress of product technology,the advantage of product platform formed at the beginning of the design will be weakened,and changeless platform even become barriers to upgrade products,so product platform need timely evolution.But at present,the related research of product platform evolution focused on enterprise management and business to describe the objective principle and the macro law about the product platform evolution,has not formed concrete product platform evolutionary design method,resulting in the study of product platform evolution cannot effectively guide the practice.Aiming at the deficiency of current research,this paper aims to construct the product platform evolutionary design theory system,including the basic theory of product platform evolution,product platform evolutionary mode selection and specific product platform evolutionary design method,the main research contents are as follows:(1)Build the basic theory of product platform evolution,put forward the definition,types,features and market performance of platform product evolution.elaborate the product platform life cycle theory.(2)Put forward the selection principle of product platform evolution mode by user demand driven.Because the product platform evolution is used for future demand more,predicting user's future demand with scenario analysis,created a mapping: user needs to product design parameters to platform parameters,transmit the user needs information to platform,and take how to meet user needs as the starting point to define the extent which the platform needs to evolve and choose product platform optimization evolution,upgrade evolution or update evolution.At the same time,this paper puts forward the principle of selecting the product platform evolution based on product platform life cycle.(3)After the selection of product platform evolution mode,the specific design methods are studied for product platform optimization evolution,upgrade evolution and update evolution.Among them,the product platform optimization evolution and upgrade evolutionary design methods mainly includes: based on gene optimizing operators,based on morphological transformation and based on the theory of conflict;update evolution use the effect of TRIZ theory,put forward the product platform update evolution design method based on the effect and technology evolution law.(4)The product platform evolutionary design study in this paper is applied to the evolution of the stamping manipulator product platform(optimization evolutionary and upgrade evolution)and the combined harvester fan platform(update evolution).
