In recent years,because of people’s higher requirements on the intelligence of buildings,the market of the construction of intelligent buildings and the intelligent transformation and upgrading of buildings has rapidly expanded.However,the lack of compatibility between different devices in a building has resulted in a large number of devices being replaced during the process of intelligent transformation and upgrading,which has greatly increased costs.Starting with the design of hardware and software platforms,a distributed intelligent building monitoring system is developed to solve the problems mentioned above.Based on the analysis of system requirements,a scheme,which uses ARM-based embedded devices to implement networking of different smart devices,is proposed.From the perspective of distributed control,the overall architecture of the system is designed,and the hardware overall plan and the software overall plan of the system are given.This system can make full use of the existing smart devices in the building to complete the intelligent transformation and upgrading of buildings,which greatly reduces the costs.The design of hardware of the core control board is given in this paper,and the system compatibility is improved from the hardware level.The porting of BootLoader,kernel,root file system,peripheral drivers and applications is completed,and the application is optimized through the design of multiple buffers.By analyzing the characteristics of data communication in the system,a communication protocol suitable for this system is designed.The monitoring system software is designed,including the design of the concurrent server,the design of the database and the design of the client software.A model with multithreading and I/O multiplexing is used by concurrent server.A hierarchical architecture,which improves the compatibility further,is adopted by the software of server-side communication part.Then,taking the perimeter prevention in the monitoring system as an example,a pedestrian detection algorithm is applied in the system.Finally,the test of each module and the actual operation result are given.The result shows that the design of this system achieves the predetermined index and has certain application value.
