As the key node of the international trade,container terminals have been developing in a highly efficient and intelligent manner.Improving the handling technology and operation efficiency have become the key to improve the core competitiveness of the container terminal.The modern large-scale container terminal is a typical discrete and dynamic complex system,and has many engineering problems.In the existing automated terminals,there is a problem of the operations crossinterference which affect the work efficiency,due to the ship handling and transportation activities are carried out in the same plane;In addition,the research methods for the plane layout and the loading and unloading performance of container terminals are single and incomplete.Aiming at the above problems,this paper proposes an evaluation method combining the complexity theory and the system simulation technology to conduct intensive research on the complexity of the layout structure of a new type of stereoscopic automated container terminal technology system.At the same time,this paper use the system simulation technology to establish the simulation model of the terminal,analyzes loading and unloading performance of the new process under different working conditions,and comprehensively evaluate the operation performance of the stereoscopic automated terminal from two aspects of static complexity and dynamic characteristics.The main research results of this paper are as follows:(1)The configuration of the stereoscopic automated terminal technology system are researched.This paper analyzes the composition and structure of the new stereoscopic automated terminal,and the handling process of terminal is studied according to the loading and unloading process of ship,the collection and transportation process,the transport process of container between the stereoscopic yard and the open yard based on the function of the terminal technology system.(2)The complexity of the stereoscopic automatic terminal technology system is qualitatively analyzed.According to the classification of complexity,the static complexity of terminal handling production are analyzed from the complexity of container type,the complexity of terminal scale and the complexity of layout structure;the dynamic complexity of terminal handling production are analyzed from the complexity of handling production of the ship,the complexity of transportation production,the complexity of the operation plan making and implementation,which lay the foundation for quantitative measurement and simulation research.(3)Based on the theory of information entropy,the local and overall complexity measurement models for automated terminal structures and processes are established.The information entropy of the composite structure and connection relationship of the subsystems is calculated,then the multidimensional overall complexity information entropy of the system is obtained,and comprehensively evaluate the static structural complexity of the stereoscopic terminal.From the data results,it is concluded that the complexity of the transition subsystem is very complex which may be a major factor affecting the efficiency of the terminal operations.(4)Using the system simulation technology,the concept model of the stereoscopic automated terminal is established based on the Petri net theory,and the logical relationships of each element and module components are defined.Based on this,the terminal simulation model is established,and the dynamic characteristics of the terminal handling production are studied through the analysis of simulation experiment and data,and reveal the bottleneck problem that restricts the operating efficiency.Finally,the performance of the stereoscopic automated terminal technology system is comprehensively evaluated with the results of the complexity measurement.In general,under the guidance of the thoughts of complex system science,combined with the current situation of the development of modern automated terminal,this paper combines information entropy theory and system simulation techniques,and comprehensively evaluates a new type of stereoscopic automated container terminal technology system from the aspects of static complexity and dynamic characteristics,points out the advantages and disadvantages of the program,and provides reference for the development of future automated terminal.And at the same time,its evaluation method also has important academic value and engineering significance.
