For the ramppant expansion of land use over the last 40 years,traffic congestion and job imbalance have became increasingly server issues in China.Actually,the key factor behind these problems is the mismatching of functional area and road network.Because of the development of theory and method of transportation planning,there is a separation trend between master plan and road transportaiton plan.Firtstly,from the perspective of China's master plan reality,this thesis concludes that the mathing of functional area and road network consists of institution,scale and function.Based on the matching conception,this thesis propses a framework of matching method of functional areas and the road netword,namely ‘travel agent-travel feature-space mathing'.Secondly,according to the technical route,this research chooses Wuxi city as the case study.Firstly,residents' commuting circle,travel time feature and trip mode are analyzed.Also,freight travel range is also determined by traffic policy zoning.Next,transportation planning models are adopted to predict resident's traffic flow and freight traffic flow.Based on the traffic flow of the road network,we could divide road into traffic road and living road,which is the basis of the transportation plan.Finally,we overlay the commuting circle and ideal road network plan with conceptual land use plan to find out mismatching functional area.We also use coupling degree model to analyze the coordination level of functional area and road network.Next we choose reluctant coupling functional area as the target to reivse? the land use index and road network index,which would contribute to a scientific master plan.
